| The Early Childhood Excellence team at the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) is excited to offer FREE, Conscious Discipline “Handling Upset” Professional Development. The format of this course is asynchronous and virtual synchronous, and participants will receive 12 hours of Quality Assured credit for participating.
**We do not recommend taking this training at the same time as another intensive training or if you are currently enrolled in the CDA or other college program due to the workload required to complete the assignments.** Participants will receive a Conscious Discipline account and will commit to viewing eight (8) hours of asynchronous content and attending four (4) live virtual synchronous sessions with Conscious Discipline experts. Additional information about the training can be found in the registration form linked below. There will be 25 seats available for this with 2 more training opportunities in the Spring. Seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Professionals who work directly with children birth to five, supervise birth to five professionals, provide Professional Development focused on Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), and/or who educate future birth to five professionals are encouraged to attend. Additionally, High School Teacher Academy students pursuing an ECE career are encouraged to attend. Conscious Discipline utilizes the Conscious Discipline Brain State Model, the Seven Powers for Conscious Adults, the School Family and the Seven Skills of Discipline to transform the educational culture and adult mindset before seeking to implement directly with students. This approach fosters trust and emotional security, creating a learning environment in which resilience, social skills, growth, and achievement thrive. Its practices directly apply to teachers, coaches, family engagement staff, mental health staff and leadership staff.” This is the link to register Cohort 4 Registration. Cohort 4 Session Dates: |
